Resident Activities at On Top of the World
As a resident of On Top of the World, there are extraordinary opportunities to participate in countless activities, clubs and organizations ranging from Mah Jongg, Stamps, and Line Dancing to Tennis, Softball and Tai Chi. Big Bird Fly-In
The 4th Annual Big Bird Fly In was in full flight when 13 pilots from as far south as Maitland, FL to as far north as Valdosta, GA came to On Top of the World’s R/C flying field. This year’s event was hosted by the International Miniature Aircraft Association as well as On Top of the World’s R/C Flyers club. Although gusty winds kept a couple planes on the ground, the spectator crowd was large and enthusiastic. The Society of Antique Modelers also had a fly in of the vintage kind. This year’s event featured “antique” models existing before 1938 and “old timers” existing from 1938-1942.
Rags To Riches Sale
The bi-annual Rags to Riches community garage sale was held at the Health & Recreation building at On Top of the World on Saturday, April 24. Hundreds of attendees enjoyed donuts and coffee as they strolled through the facility shopping and bartering with fellow residents. Proceeds from the coffee and donut sales support the S.P.C.A.

Fitness Corner
The Health & Recreation department of On Top of the World offers a variety of fitness programs for residents. Every month, we will feature one of these fitness classes offered by On Top of the World Communities.
This month’s featured class is CARDIO JAM.
Cardio Jam is a fast-paced, fun-filled 45 minute class loaded with choreography that works your heart and increases your flexibility and strength. This program will help you speed up your metabolism in order to burn calories throughout the day. Light weights and resistance bands are utilized for more advanced participants.
Cardio Jam classes are on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. in the Health & Recreation Ballroom. This is a free class for residents and guests participating in our Visitation Program.
