On Saturday, March 13, the Circle Square Cultural Center hosted over 60 contractors and vendors from just about every field in the home improvement  industry. Some of the trades that were represented include plumbing, home security, screen and gutter companies, windows, interior decorators, painters, stamped concrete, drywall, stone work, countertops (granite and other solid surfaces), cabinets, ceiling fans, trim carpenters, air conditioning, solar products, in-house remodeling and much more.
 St. Patrick’s Day Event
St. Patrick’s Day was celebrated at the Circle Square Cultural Center on Wednesday, March 17th. LIVE Irish music and entertainment, an authentic Irish meal, domestic and imported beer, crafters and traditional St. Patrick’s Day festivities were enjoyed by all.
Entertainment News
March was the busiest month for entertainment at the Circle Square Cultural Center since the beginning of this year. The month started off with a dance party featuring Dunning Shaw and the Shepherds Pie Band. Next, a group of young apprentices from Opera Tampa performed timeless operatic music. The exciting month ended with a sold out performance by America’s most notable comedic siblings, The Smothers Brothers!

MASTER THE POSSIBILITIES EDUCATION CENTER
Archeological Dig
Dr. Willet Boyer of the University of Florida is leading a team of archeologists and volunteers in search of the Ocale civilization. The Ocale tribe people (hence the city name Ocala) lived on what is now property owned by On Top of the World Communities. Seven of Dr. Boyer’s volunteers who are residents of On Top of the World and surrounding communities, registered for the Archaeology Field Study program through Master the Possibilities. They will spend 90 hours in the field digging, learning and at times celebrating their findings three days a week for six weeks. So far, the finds at the site include a Middle Archaic period (about 5,000 – 4,500 years ago) “Newnan” point (spearhead), St. Johns Check Stamped pottery pieces and “chert” (limestone carved into sharp tools).
March marked the end of the busiest Master the Possibilities season to date!
There were 71 programs offered during March and the variety was impressive indeed. Classes included: Digital Photography, Write Your Memoir, Advances in Orthopedics, Advanced PhotoShop, Florida Historical Events, Conductor's Corner and much more. The spring Master the Possibilities catalog registration opened Thursday, March 25th. Secure your place in about 150 classes and presentations from April through June.  Entertainment on The Town Square
Dance, dance, dance every Friday and Saturday night on The Town Square! March will feature performances by local artists like Automatic, Fred Campbell, and Crossfire Band.  The Circle Square Commons Town Square is the home of a weekly Farmer’s Market offering a wide and appealing array of fresh produce, seasonal as well as year-round, from local and regional growers. Fresh produce is just one of the many items you will find! Visit www.CircleSquareCommonsFarmersMarket.com for a weekly list of vendors. The Farmer’s Market has new items every week including flowers, plants, fresh baked goods, hand-made soaps, delicious pies and much more. Plus, the Market features local crafters and artists displaying creative and unique pieces from charming denim purses and beautiful oil paintings to wood working creations and framed photography.
 The Farmer’s Market also holds the "Flavors of the Season" cooking demonstrations by On Top of the World chefs every week. The chefs use farm-fresh produce available at the Market, along with other ingredients, to create mouth-watering meals such as Eggplant Parmesan Open Faced Sandwich, Wild Mushroom Chicken Marsala, Spicy Shrimp and Sausage with Linguine Pasta Béchamel and Chicken Peperonata. These demonstrations are held from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. every week. After the demonstration, patrons are invited to sample the finished dishes and pick up a recipe card to try at home.

On Friday, March 12th, high fashion fitness attire not seen anywhere else in Ocala was presented at The Ranch Fitness Center & Spa. Light refreshments were  served as attendees were introduced to high end fitness apparel by VumaWear.
